Musical director
All our concerts are devised, rehearsed
and conducted by Graham Wili, who has been our Music Director since
1998.
Graham, who trained at the Royal Northern College of Music, is a dynamic
and inspiring leader, who pushes us to perform at a very high standard,
while retaining a down-to-earth attitude and a great sense of humour.
Graham involves himself in all aspects of running the choir, including
the fundraising that is necessary when we take on major projects.
In fact he took part in and completed the Flora London Marathon on April 13, 2008
to raise funds for our Tsunami concert at the Royal Festival
Hall in May (see past events).
Graham is also Music Director of Berkhamsted Choral Society and the
Gaudeamus Singers as well as Principal Conductor of the English Philharmonia.
He also works as a professional singer, appearing regularly as a tenor
soloist, a singing teacher for school and private clients and a voice
coach in schools and other organisations. Graham is in demand for
vocal coaching with choirs and has been a vocal coach to the National
Youth Choir of Wales since 2006.
